Pattaya Navigator · 2026-10-14
Pattaya City Hall is advancing a monorail project with three lines. On 13 August 2026 Mayor Poramet Ngampichet held a meeting to review the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report.
Three lines
- Green - the main route through the city: Pattaya station, Dolphin Roundabout, Terminal 21 Pattaya, Central Festival Pattaya, the night market and Bali Hai pier.
- Purple - links the city with the Nong Prue area and Pattaya railway station, relieving city roads.
- Red - long-term: shares a section with the Green line, then runs along Jomtien Beach towards the National Stadium.
Timeline
- Public hearings: September - November 2026.
- Final report: around January 2027.
- On 1 September 2026 the mayor heard a proposal from a private company; the contractor will be chosen after the EIA and hearings.
What this means for the property market
